Professional Highlights

Cris Wang has more than 16 years of experience in intellectual property protection and litigation. He specializes in providing comprehensive intellectual property legal services to domestic and foreign clients in the fields of pharmaceutical chemistry, materials, semiconductor chips and medical devices, including patent infringement litigation, patent invalidation and administrative litigation, and trade secret infringement litigation.

After obtaining a doctorate in science from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Attorney Wang joined the State Intellectual Property Office and served as a substantive examiner and reexamination examiner for 8 years, responsible for the substantive examination and reexamination of invention patents. After that, Attorney Wang joined another well-known foreign-related patent agency, responsible for patent application, patent invalidation, legal consultation and patent search cases, especially the handling of difficult cases.

After joining LexField, mainly responsible for the handling of patent infringement, patent invalidation and trade secret infringement cases. So far, Attorney Wang has represented nearly 100 intellectual property litigation cases for domestic and foreign clients, and the quality of his legal services has been highly recognized by clients.

l Representing a well-known Japanese company in handling a series of patent invalidation disputes and administrative lawsuits；

l  Representing a medical device company in handling a series of patent invalidation disputes and administrative lawsuits with several competitors, successfully maintaining the validity of all the client’s patent sand successfully invalidating several patents of competitors；

l  Representing a US company in handling a patent application right dispute with a competitor due to infringement of trade secrets, and successfully facilitated a settlement between the two parties by transferring the patent application right of the competitor；

l  Representing a well-known battery company in handling a series of patent infringement and trade secret infringement disputes with two competitors, and obtained multiple high-indemnity winning judgements;

l  Representing a well-known communications company in handling a series of invalidation cases of essential patents for communications standards with other communications companies and facilitated a settlement between the two parties. The work was evaluated as “excellent” by the client;

l  Representing a well-known Chinese scientific research institution in handling a chip patent invalidation case and patent infringement lawsuit with a well-known American semiconductor company, successfully maintaining the validity of the patent rights and promoting a settlement between the two parties;

l  Representing a domestic traffic equipment company in a patent infringement lawsuit with a well-known American manufacturer, and successfully achieved a non-infringement defense;

l  Representing a domestic innovative drug company in a patent invalidation case with its competitor, and successfully maintained the validity of the core compound patent;
